iBill/Silent Majority

Description

Takes an RSS feed of updated bills, and allows users to comment in real-time using WebSockets and such.

Ideas for taking this project forward

  • Better data: according to my research, there was no way of retrieving the actual bills (including the updates) without scraping.
  • Publicity.
  • Perhaps merging with other websites that offer similar functionality; e.g. TWFY. Perhaps changing to a more modular format to be embedded directly to a Gov site. > Dramatically different use-cases.
