About Rewired State: Parliament 2012

November 24 - 25, 2012 at The Houses of Parliament and The Hub Westminster

For the second year running, and coinciding with Parliament Week, there will be a Parliament Hack!

Parliament has a lot of data: not all of which has been explored, yet! Everyone involved last year was amazed, and we’re so pleased to be able to marry geeks and parliamentary data.

Parliament Week is a new national initiative which aims to build greater understanding of and engagement with parliamentary democracy in the UK”.

As with last year, there will be a tour of Parliament (hopefully also including stuff not included in the usual tour) followed by an explanation of the work of Parliamentarians, and then your rallying cry.

We’ll then move on, up the road, to start the Hack.

This is an open hack to developers of all ages who want to come and play. We welcome designers and games developers too — anyone who can build something, should come along.

Prizes will be awarded.

Judges, and judging categories will follow, soon.

This is a two day event and it will be possible to sleepover on the Saturday night. We recommend bringing at least a sleeping bag, but you may wish to pack a sleeping mat as well.
