Rewired State, in partnership with the Government Digital Service, and with support from the Department of Energy & Climate Change and UK Location (from Defra) are pleased to present the fourth annual National Hack the Government Day.

We’re delighted that Government are supporting this event, along with a commitment to engage with the developer community.

As ever this day is all about having free rein, doing whatever you fancy and showing it at the end to an audience of interested people, including gov types (we hear that GDS are hiring).

If you would like to code a better country, by taking government data and creating prototypes of tools, services, applications or even websites then come along on the 21st April 2012.

GDS are providing us with a floor in their swanky Aviation House building (it’s lovely), along with some of their developers being around on the day, and offering a tour of the GDS offices.

DECC are putting up a prize, and have committed to a further hack session for this winner — to further develop the winning app. Nice.

We will supply you with copious amounts of caffeine & nibbles throughout the day (as well as lunch).

Government, industry, and press will be invited to come to Show and Tell (with beer and pizza (thank you DXW!) as tradition demands).

Show and Tell starts at 6pm. Unfortunately, we’re full!

Thank you O' Reilly

Signup’s now closed. We may be able to squeeze more developers/geeks in, but we’re to capacity for Show and Tell.
