Developers: are you ready to change the world?
As part of this year’s Activate Summit in London, the Guardian and Rewired State have partnered with Nokia and BlueVia to bring you (H)activate — a cause-led hack running at The Guardian’s headquarters in Kings Cross on the weekend of the 18th and 19th June.
(Activate is the Guardian’s platform for people working with the internet and its associated technologies, to change the world for the better.)
Through events in London and New York, and across our online platform at guardian.co.uk/activate, Activate gathers together many of the world’s leading thinkers and doers to discuss how we build a more connected and collaborative planet; to improve lives through intelligent use of data and technology.
The weekend before the summit, we’re hosting the inaugural (H)activate. The tools that are built will be fed back to influence and inspire the makers-and-doers who’ll be at Activate.
If you’d like to come, the form below has the info we’re seeking; numbers are limited, and we need a lovely mix of talent — some sifting will be needed, but we will get back to you before the 7th June, to let you know (either way).
There will be…
- Food and drink (hack your own lunch!)
- Prizes: including cash, gadgets, free Activate tickets
- Commitment to taking winning prototypes to beyond the hack day
- A chance to talk on the podium at Activate, and the mingling and kudos of that
- Beer and pizza (shocker)
